Caralho até o Hector (Mascote Oficial da Banda) foi desprezado e ficou de fora da capa do mais novo álbum  do Hammerfall, que deixou de lado a Fantasia, gloria e a Pompa, de seus álbuns anteriores pra ficar mais direto e sombrio, com uma temática voltada ao Death, uma mudança radical, mas que não afeta nem um pouco a qualidade do Power Metal do grupo, diminuindo os teclados mas com guitarras Rifando barbaridade, cosinha pesadíssima e Joacim Cans mostrando mais uma vez que está entre os melhores vocalistas de todos os tempos

After quitting Ceremonial Oath, Oscar Dronjak and Jesper Strömblad formed HammerFall with the help of Niklas Sundin and Mikael Stanne, who are both members of Dark Tranquillity.

As they were all involved in other bands, HammerFall was relegated to be a side project for several years. Their concerts were limited mostly to a local music contest named Rockslaget.
